"the third place" is a term coined by sociologist Ray Oldenberg, and refers to a community place that is outside of home (first place) and workspace (second place). The third place is typically a hub for exchanging thought and dialogue. This is an attempt to create a virtual third place, one metaphorical brick at a time!
